Love Surpasses Boundaries

Stephen M. Lyon

They say that love surpasses boundaries

I pray that this is true

For if this gap can be bridged

I’ll find a way to reach you

Does love surpass all boundaries?

It’s quite hard to believe

That life’s cruel ironies can be transcended

And my heart won’t have to leave

Faith, Hope, and Love

His Word says “Love” is  greatest

Through trials and tribulations

True love withstands the test

Who are we that we deserve God’s greatest gift?

His love’s beyond compare

All we’re asked is to give it away

There’s plenty to spare

What is love?

Eros, Phileo, Agape?

True love is what we make of it

Evident in all we do and say

Can love surpass all boundaries?

Can it pass age, and weight, and height?

Love is what we make it

Keep in line with it’s Maker, and it’ll turn out right

Another key endorsement!

Hunter Gets Yet Another Key Endorsement!

Congressman JD Hayworth, author of Whatever It Takes: Illegal Immigration, Border Security and the War on Terror endorses Hunter!
Help make Congressman Hayworth's endorsement count!
Hayworth bucks the milquetoast trend of the GOP party-establishment to marginalize the immigration issue and tuck it out of the way of the current crop of amnesty candidates.
Instead, he's voting for the last remaining border security hawk in the race: Duncan Hunter.
Congressman Hayworth writes:
"To base a primary vote on 'electability' instead of ideas and principles seems to me a reduction of your rights via rationalization.
No one will ever completely agree with every position that a candidate takes…as Sharon put it, 'there is no perfect candidate,' but I believe my vote should go to the candidate who comes closest to espousing the philosophy I share.
That brings me back to Duncan Hunter.
No, he won't be on the stage tonight in the South Carolina GOP Debate, and his name appears nowhere near the top of the polls…but he supported tax cuts, did a masterful job as Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, and stands for 'enforcement first' on illegal immigration.
That's why he'll get my vote and my support for as long as he is in it…even if he doesn't win it!"
As we all know, other candidates are getting credit for the positions they've taken that are identical to Duncan Hunter's.

Huckabee is the "man of faith".

Giuliani is the "anti-terrorism" candidate, by virtue of his high profile on 9/11.

Romney is the guy who can handle finances.

Fred is the Second Amendment champion.

But, Duncan Hunter is all of those and more!

So we've started asking a simple question to people we meet who say they're supporting one of these men.

"Where do your core beliefs come from?"

"Do the things you're passionate about, the things that are important to you, come from what's popular, or do they come from what is right?"

We don't wait for an answer.  Those questions deserve to be asked and answered in the privacy of each man and woman's heart.

We're not supporting Duncan Hunter because he's the front-runner in
the race.

We're not supporting him because of how well he polls.

We're not supporting him because he's this week's media darling.

We're supporting him because he is right!

Help us help the right man for the job!

He's right on every issue we hold dear.  If we're honest with ourselves, and if we think it's important to elect the right person this November, we need to ask ourselves and those around us: "Where do our core beliefs come from?"

The answer we come up with leads us to one candidate only. The complete conservative: Duncan Hunter.

Join us in our fight for what's right!  Join the team of principles and true American values.

Duncan Hunter is still in the fight and refused to give up!

Help us make his commitment count!

Lawsuit against Gay marriage!

Dear Friends:

Good evening.

Today I filed a federal lawsuit, pro se, in United States District Court, District of Massachusetts. The summons will be served tomorrow on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It challenges the 2003 Goodridge decision of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) on three grounds:

  1. Goodridge violates the nature of personhood in the Fourteenth Amendment, where rights are ascribed to all persons equally, but not to groups of persons. As well, homosexual persons or same-sex couples do not qualify as a civil rights class in federal law, and the Goodridge decision was aware of this problem, and simply refused to address it.
  2. Goodridge undermines the language and nature of unalienable rights, elevating same-sex marriage to the level of unalienable rights, without defining unalienable rights.
  3. Goodridge thus puts the new "unalienable right" of same sex-marriage in direct clash with the First Amendment unalienable rights of religious liberty for rabbis, priests and ministers to dissent from this new law, jeopardizing their freedom to only marry people according to a biblical understanding.
The lawsuit, Rankin v. Massachusetts, is attached.
  • If you are a minister or religious leader, and agree with this lawsuit, we want you to sign on in support of it. Until we set up a page on the TEI website for this, send an email to my son Stuart, stuart@teinetwork.com, with your name and any appropriate title, place of ministry, and other contact information.
  • Also, if you click on www.johnrankin.org, it will go to the TEI website; in the near future, it will serve as a portal to various TEI websites.
  • We need your prayers and financial support, now more than ever; to give online, click on: https://shop.teinetwork.com/splashPage.hg.
  • And for those who give a gift of $100.00 or more, we will send a copy of The Six Pillars of Honest Politics: The Biblical Nature of a Level Playing Field as a thank you gift, being published next week. In this book, I have a proposal to reduce state and federal law by more than 99 percent, as rooted in biblical ethics and the constitutional ideal of limited government, and in such a proposal, it explicitly yet understatedly protects marriage as one man and one woman, and protects the unborn.
  • Also, if you are in position, please see to it that this is announced in church on Sunday, and have your church pray for us corporately.
Thank you so much, and blessings in Jesus,
John

Another big endorsement

Posted on 01/07/2008 11:30:15 AM PST by pissant

On January 4, 5 and 6, 2008 the Nevada Republican Assembly held a Presidential Endorsing Convention in Reno, Nevada. On Saturday they held a Presidential rally where each of the campaigns presented their candidate and the issues they stand for. The organization also held a Straw Poll for those who attended the rally. Congressman Hunter came in 3rd place in the straw poll behind Ron Paul and John McCain.

On Sunday, the NVRA met to vote on the candidate that their organization would endorse for President in 2008. This organization has one of the largest concentrations of conservative Republicans in it’s membership. They uphold the principles of supporting our constitution, limited government, love of God, state sovereignty, controlled spending, sanctity of life, parental rights, protection of private property, 2nd amendment rights, security of our borders, fair trade, educational excellence, and fair and equal taxation rights.

The NVRA held a series of votes to reach their choice for endorsement of Congressman Duncan Hunter for President in 2008. Duncan Hunter had a clear lead throughout all 5 rounds of voting. In order for the assembly to reach a final decision for the endorsement, the candidate had to have a 2/3 majority vote. Duncan Hunter won that endorsement over Fred Thompson with more than the 2/3 required. Hunter’s clear, consistent conservative message has resonated with residents in Nevada.

Michael Kressler, President of the NVRA along with members of the organization are proud to endorse Duncan Hunter for President in 2008. Duncan Hunter has proven that he is a viable candidate and will represent the people who need a President that is honest and true and will facilitate change in the right direction for our nation.
